final algebra II exhibition
For the final Algebra II exhibition I will be exhibiting the "Exam Problems" project. This project tested our ability to create and solve problems from the first semester of Algebra II.
This project represents what I have learned in Algebra II because it requires me to recreate equations that we have learned throughout the year. It was also a requirement that we solve the problem after making it, which exemplifies my understanding for the material.
During this project, I have learned that it is a lot harder to create a problem that ends in a simple number than expected. It also allowed me to review the material we have learned over the semester and it helped me gain an overall better understanding of the algebra we have learned so far.
1. If I were to exhibit my project again, I would have printed less paper for the exhibition. I found that during the exhibition, the parents and viewers were more interesting in learning about the project itself, and the the process of solving these problems, rather than solving them themselves. For that reason, the amount of paper seemed a little unnecessary, and maybe I could have used a whiteboard to show people the step by step process, and then have the option for them to solve it on the whiteboard.
2. I see my greatest strengths in math as getting my work done thoroughly and on time. Whether I understand it or not, I make sure to go out of my way to understand it and finish the work that is due. When I am struggling in math or have questions regarding the unit we are working on, I always advocate for help in order to overcome any misunderstanding. This is something that I hope to carry on with me in future math classes. One of my weaknesses going in to future math classes is may ability to remember past material. I have found that when we are tested on something we learned a few months ago, I struggle with remembering how to do it properly. I plan to change this in future math classes. I will strive to hold on to what we learn for longer, because it is very crucial in order to have an overall solid understanding of mathematics.

Semester exam project
This project took a very different approach to reviewing the material we had previously learned. It required us to understand how to create the problem and then go about solving it. Personally, this project was challenging because it required you to remember units that we worked on in the beginning of the year, but it was also a very helpful refresher. Overall, I liked this project, it was tedious at times but I learned from it, and it was a rewarding process.
To study for the exam, I am going to find someone to study with and go over the review several times. I will also review old assignments and comp book entries when I am struggling to remember a unit. Lastly, I will ask Effi for extra review/ assignments I can do to prepare for the exam.
General Reflection about the semester:
This semester in math has generally been pretty good. I did struggle at times with the content but I was able to eventually understand all of it pretty well. Algebra 2 was a refreshing change from Geometry which I tended to struggle with, so I found myself really enjoying the content and work in this class. At times the tests were challenging for me, but I have found new study habits and ways of preparing for the tests in order to improve my knowledge and grades in the class.
